“Welcome!”

Hello, we’re Kreg and Rocío! We’re engaged. We’re unemployed. And we’re eager to embark on our latest adventure!

Kreg and I are (former) educators, and we’re taking a hiatus from work to hike and travel. After 7 years of living in Brooklyn, we sold and donated most of our belongings and moved out of our apartment in Crown Heights. Kreg and I met in Brooklyn, we love the vibrant community where we lived and we value the incredible professional opportunities we had while living in New York. However, we decided to take time off to do other things that make us happy. This includes taking on new challenges, meeting new people and traveling the world.

Kreg has wanted to hike the Appalachian Trail (AT) for a long time, and he began hiking on Sunday, July 08th! His plan is to hike south from Maine to Georgia. We don’t know if he’ll be on trail for 2 weeks or 20 weeks, but he’s determined to go as far as he can! If you’d like to join him along the way, he’d welcome the company.

After spending a few weeks at home in California, I will be traveling to Mexico to volunteer and explore the many wonders Mexico has to offer. Growing up, I spent many summers and Christmas vacations in my home state of Michoacán, but I crave to see more of this beautiful country. My plan is to explore Mexico City, Puebla, Oaxaca, Guerrero, Guanajuato and other southern states.
